The Vulnerability Management Analyst is responsible for identifying and managing vulnerabilities in our IT infrastructure to ensure optimal security. As a part of the global information security team this role requires strong analytical skills, collaboration with IT and security teams, and staying current with emerging security threats and best practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and assess vulnerabilities in the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, systems, and applications.
- Collaborate with IT, risk, and security teams to prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Monitor and analyze vulnerability scanning results to identify trends and patterns.
- Contribute to vulnerability management policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Provide guidance and support to IT and security teams on vulnerability management best practices.
- Assist with the scoping & remediation of application penetration testing.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security awareness training programs.
- Stay current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
- Prepare and present vulnerability management reports to management and stakeholders.
- Emphasizing customer experience as a central measure of success, ensuring that vulnerabilities are addressed in a manner that minimizes disruption and enhances the client's satisfaction.
PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or related professional experience.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in vulnerability management.
- Strong knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools and techniques (Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7).
- Cloud & on prim vulnerability remediation experience.
- Knowledge of Azure Defender and AWS security suite (GuardDuty, Security Hub).
- Knowledge of network device configurations and standards (Firewalls, Switches, NSG).
- Knowledge of common operating systems MacOS and Windows OS.
- Experience documenting and reporting remediation statistics and presenting to leadership.
- Strong cross functional communication skills and the ability to work closely with internal teams on vulnerability remediation efforts.
- Familiarity with common security frameworks and standards, such as NIST, CIS, and ISO.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of vulnerability scoring frameworks and business risk decision making.
- Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, GSEC, or similar Cybersecurity certifications are a plus.
