Alter Domus has an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Platfrom Engineer Intern to join our Vilnius Team. This is a 3 month internship with the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate adoption of standardized deployment strategies
  • Help set up and manage DevOps processes and pipelines using tools like Git, Azure/Github Pipelines, and Terraform.
  • Assist in designing and implementing secure cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS.
  • Gain experience in using Linux and Kubernetes, including learning about Service Meshes and earning relevant certifications (like CKA, CKAD, or CKS).
  • Develop and maintain scripts in Python, Go and Bash to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of A/B testing, Canary deployments, and Circuit breaking strategies for smooth application deployments.
  • Help configure and maintain mTLS and Authorization policies for enhanced security.
  • Learn to use container runtime security tools such as eBPF based tools, SECCOMP, AppArmor, and secure runtimes.
  • Assist in creating and enforcing policies using Open Policy Agent (OPA) Gatekeeper.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the platform infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Help build and maintain Golden Paths and deployment processes.
  • Work on monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the platform's performance and security.
  • Promote a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture within the team.

Hard Skills:

  • Basic understanding of DevSecOps tools (Git, Azure/Github Pipelines/Actions, IAC, GitOps).
  • Knowledge of public cloud platforms (Azure and AWS) with some certifications or experience.
  • Basic Linux/Kubernetes skills and willingness to earn certifications (CKA/CKAD/CKS).
  • Basic application development knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of CIS benchmarks.
  • Proficiency in a scripting language (preferably Python/Go/Bash).
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.

  • Open-mindedness and willingness to adapt.
  • Strong desire to keep learning.

Salary: For this Internship we offer a salary of 1000 EUR gross per month.
