Based in Chicago, Il reporting to the Head of Human Resources, Technology and Data & Analytics, this is a new HR Business Partner role that will provide human resources support to leaders and employees in Central Functions based in the U.S. This position will also support global HR programs & initiatives in alignment with the Alter Domus global human capital strategy and serve as a trusted adviser to line of business leadership and employees.
YOU WILL:
- Provide HR guidance and advice to employees, leaders across the Central Function teams in the U.S.
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence – Talent Acquisition; Organizational Effectiveness & Learning and Development; HR Operations and Reward and Performance to deliver expert HR support to your stakeholders.
- Partner closely with HRBPs in other regions to support U.S. leaders with their global teams ensuring a seamless HR experience to U.S. stakeholders.
- Manage employee relations (e.g. performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, terminations, reductions in force, exit interviews, conduct investigations, etc.)
- Manage work arrangement/accommodation requests, permanent and temporary staffing requests, and extensions. Work with immigration & mobility team on employment visas and relocations.
- Build broad internal and external partnerships and networks to support the organization and line of business human resources needs across the entire employee lifecycle.
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and delivery of services performed.
- Support annual global HR initiatives and work with Head of HR on performance management and calibration process, workforce planning, talent reviews, promotion, and compensation processes.
- Provide global reports and analytics on the global workforce to aid decision making around talent and human capital needs for the business.
- Analyze exit interview data, global engagement surveys and prepare briefings and action plans. Support the business to drive employee engagement using the Alter Domus employee engagement tools to deliver insight into how to improve retention and engagement.
- Implement and track organizational change plans and ensure system changes are processed.
- Partner with HR Operations team on HR audits. Maintain accurate records, reports, policies and procedures to ensure the HR department is fully compliant for internal and external auditing purposes. Handle employee-related paperwork, such as nonstandard employment contracts and formal notices of termination
- Drive the adoption and implementation of HR best practices– acting as a change agent and champion to embed new tools, programs and processes to improve the employee experience.
YOUR PROFILE:
- You have 5-7 years of progressive experience in a human resources role, preferably with experience in an HR Business Partner role
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills
- You are detailed oriented and can organize your work independently.
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel savvy, and embrace technology solutions and efficient processes
- You enjoy analyzing data and information and communication of complex ideas in a simple, easy to understand way
- You have a working knowledge of U.S. employment laws
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have an interest in growing your career with a global company
- You enjoy creating processes and tools for efficient operations, problem solving, collaboration and providing exceptional customer service to employees, HR colleagues and business leaders
- You are available to meet with our global HR team during reasonable, non-core hours at times, when required.
- You have the ability to manage highly confidential information in an honest and trustworthy way
