POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Reporting Business Analyst will be part of our Credit and Structured Products Technology team, servicing Securitization, Loan Administration and Collateral Administration business.
The Analyst will have four primary focuses:
- Gather requirements and build custom reporting for internal and external clients across all platforms with a concentration on portfolio management systems.
- Provide L1, L2 support for licensed and proprietary platforms.
- Gather requirements for integration projects. Organize and participate in pre-deployment testing for licensed and proprietary platforms.
- Create excel-based VBA automation solutions.
This is a highly engaging and visible role where the Analyst will be working across technology and business teams, as well as working with system providers to deliver best-in-class services in the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build SQL based reports
- Build Excel based models & tools – can be automation focused or analytics focused
- Work with developer to build proprietary apps
- Organize UAT and deployment
- Liaise with business and technology partners to resolve issues
- Liaise with technology teams for system integrations
- Apply technology skills to analyze and troubleshoot system issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; commitment to a client-focused, solutions-oriented approach
YOUR PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, data science, computer science or related technical fields
- Finance background with a technical inclination preferred
- 0-2 years of experience working in financial services industry or in analytics capacity
- Intermediate level of technical skills: T-SQL, VBA macros, advanced Excel modeling preferred
- Attention to detail, patient and very organized
- Self-driven, able to work with high-level directives to figure out the intermediate steps
- Deadline-driven, can excel in a fast-paced environment
- Having an analytical mind and enjoy problem solving
- Highly capable of working both independently and collaboratively
