As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing our mission-critical trading settlement platform. You will work on financial workflows, data management systems, and user-facing web applications that process securities transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Development & Architecture

  • Design and implement features for our ASP.NET Core MVC web application handling trade lifecycle management
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture components
  • Create responsive UI components using Telerik Kendo UI, jQuery, and Bootstrap
  • Implement data access layers using Entity Framework and stored procedures
  • Design and optimize SQL Server database schemas and queries

Code Quality & Best Practices

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Implement comprehensive unit and integration tests
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Follow SOLID principles and design patterns
  • Ensure security best practices for financial data handling

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Mentor junior developers and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions

  • Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions

  • Work with DevOps team on CI/CD pipeline improvements

  • Participate in architectural decisions and technical planning

  • Contribute to technical documentation and system design documents

  • Collaborate with team members located in the US; occasional cross-region availability may be needed (especially during training)

Required Qualifications:

Technical Skills

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • 3+ years with C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core
  • Strong expertise in ASP.NET Core MVC and Web API development
  • Proficient in SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning)
  • Experience with Entity Framework or similar ORM
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3
  • Experience with Git version control

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability

Educational Requirements: 5+ years

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • OR equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in financial services or fintech industry
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Understanding of DevOps practices
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, Moq)
  • Experience with real-time data processing

Technical Environment:

  • Languages: C# (.NET 8.0), JavaScript, T-SQL
  • Frameworks: ASP.NET Core MVC, Entity Framework
  • Frontend: Telerik Kendo UI, jQuery, Bootstrap, Razor Views
  • Database: SQL Server
  • Tools: Visual Studio, Git
  • Cloud: AWS
