Here at Alter Domus we are currently looking for a Senior System Engineer to join our Global IT Operations team. In this role you will work with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Infrastructure Life Cycle to support our end users and operating platform. This role is located in our brand new Hyderabad office and will be a mix of remote and onsite work. 

The Senior System Engineer will be responsible for the following: 

  • Windows Server Administration and engineering experience in an enterprise IT environment, having performed operational and break/fix activity along with engineering and design 
  • Assist managing various server related resources (Active Directory, VoIP, Office 365, Azure, SharePoint, PowerAutomate) including patches and other related security tasks and responsibilities 
  • Work directly with our end users (in person, phone and help desk ticketing) to troubleshot and resolve issues 
  • Set up workstations, domain accounts, etc. in various hardware and software related applications 
  • Deploy and troubleshoot various types of network elements, infrastructure services and platforms 
  • Install and troubleshoot Microsoft and various other system applications and solutions 
  • Manage clear communication of progress/status with project stakeholders- Collaborate with team members to create and resolve support tickets 
  • Provide hands-on expertise on systems related projects and collaborate with the internal Operations Team 
  • Work with a Global IT team supporting users all over the world 
  • Maintain consistent, quality documentation for the administration and operation of underlying infrastructure, including topologies, configuration details, run-books, and recovery processes 


Technial Comptencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including server and client OS, Active Directory 
  • Expertise in Office 365 management is a must have (Exchange online, Intune, Sharepoint, Defender, PowerAutomate, Teams) 
  • Support and maintain the existing network and associated infrastructure 
  • Collaborate with team members in resolving support tickets 
  • Experience in implementing Microsoft cloud solutions (Azure, Office 365, SharePoint) 
  • Managed Services and Cloud experience  
  • Manage various server related resources (Active Directory, VoIP, Office 365, Azure) including patches and other related security tasks and responsibilities 
  • Remote Connectivity troubleshooting (VPN, Citrix, Terminal Server) 
  • Basic knowledge of Kubernetes / Dockers / WSL2 
  • Good knowledge on Apple products (Mac)  
  • Previous experience working with ServiceNow ticketing tool would be considered as an advantage 
  • General knowledge in Lotus notes would be considered as an advantage 
  • Basic knowledge on Linux OS would be considered as an advantage 

Your Profile:

  • 5+ years of related IT industry experience 
  • Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills 
  • Detail oriented and organized with an ability to meet deadlines 
  • Willingness to work with teams in multiple time zones 
  • Strong work ethic, responsiveness and passion for customer service and quality 
  • Excellent team player and good interpersonal skills 
  • Self-motivated, able to work within a project-based environment
