Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, as a Finance Senior Manager you will have functional ownership of the specific processes in accounting and reporting remit and have the opportunity to change the way the finance organization at Alter Domus works. Your job is to challenge the status quo – to think differently about how finance supports the business and lead a key function in the Global Accounting Team and propose process changes to help Alter Domus achieve its ambitious growth objectives, while delivering at the highest standards of integrity of financial reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting processes and systems, working closely with finance and business leaders to identify pain points in financial processes and controls.
- Lead the development and implementation of initiatives underlying the financial integrity of our external and internal reporting, while maintaining compliant accounting and reporting processes and effective controls.
- Manage a team of accounting professionals (c.a. 6-10 people) who work cross-functionally with business teams across the company.
- Ownership of all operational activities in relation to your teams’ scope (including the month-close activities), ensuring that relevant deadlines are met.
- Preparation and review of various deliverables to support both internal and external financial reporting needs, including analytic commentary and the preparation of supplementary financial analysis for management and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrating strong technical accounting acumen to be able to conclude on accounting treatment of new product launches, projects and transactions.
- Main point of contact for the external audit of your areas of responsibility.
- Effectively partnering with the business leaders to understand performance drives and provide insights for future growth.
- Support the forecasting processes as well as the annual budget and long-range planning cycles.
- As a senior leader you will be responsible for driving change when necessary, delivering communications and directions to the team in supporting the development and engagement of employees at all levels.
- Promote and build Alter Domus' brand and culture both internally and externally, acting as an ambassador and role model to employees, clients, and customers and other external stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, encouraging employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Drive a culture of compliance and risk control to mitigate financial, operational and reputational risks.
- Promote ethical business practices, enhancing the company's reputation and social impact and ensuring Alter Domus maintains the highest Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) standards.
PROFILE
- Minimum of 10 years of combined experience obtained in the fields of audit, accounting and financial reporting gained within the Big4 and Multinational Organisations.
- Strong demonstrated knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP. Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA or CPA.
- Experience in the financial services or alternative investments industry is highly desirable.
- Experience with S/4HANA is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of leading finance process implementation or transformations, working cross-functionally with senior leaders and teams.
- Demonstrated experience with operating and implementing internal controls under SOX or similar frameworks.
- Prior experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business leaders, finance stakeholders and technical teams.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-growing and dynamic environment, especially in industries that are undergoing rapid digit transformation.
