The Product Leader - Loan Administration and Compliance will own the product strategy and roadmap for loan servicing, trade settlement, and compliance capabilities across private credit portfolios. Reporting to the Head of Product – Private Credit, this role is responsible for delivering best-in-class solutions that enable accurate, timely, and scalable loan administration—including onboarding, reference data management, covenant monitoring, compliance testing, rate resets, accruals, trade settlement, notices, and borrower communications.
Operating as a strategic product owner, this leader will drive the vision for automating high-volume, complex workflows while ensuring robust controls, audit trails, and regulatory oversight. The ideal candidate combines deep private credit loan operations expertise with strong product discipline, partnering with Technology, Operations, and Risk teams to reduce manual touch points, improve straight-through processing, and enhance covenant breach detection and exception management. This role requires strong vendor management capabilities, a controls-first mindset, and the ability to deliver measurable operational improvements through data-driven prioritization, clear KPIs, and executive-level communication.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set the product strategy and multi-year roadmap for loan servicing capabilities, including loan onboarding, reference data management, covenant monitoring, compliance testing, rate resets, accruals, trade settlement, borrower notices, and communication workflows
- Define and prioritize product features that enhance accuracy, speed, and scalability for covenant monitoring, compliance workflows, trade settlement process, exception management, and breach detection across diverse private credit portfolios
- Drive integration with core systems, including portfolio management platforms, accounting systems, data warehouses, and client reporting tools; standardize data models for instrument terms, payment schedules, collateral tracking, and covenant structures
- Partner with Technology and Operations teams to automate high-volume processes such as rate rolls, payment waterfalls and processing, trigger alerts, and covenant calculations, improving straight-through processing (STP), trade settlements, and identify areas to significantly reduce or eliminate manual intervention
- Implement robust controls, audit trails, and governance frameworks for covenant calculation methodologies, policy adherence, and regulatory and credit risk oversight; own reporting and communication to risk and compliance stakeholders
- Manage vendor relationships for servicing platforms, covenant monitoring tools, and data providers, including release testing, roadmap alignment, SLA management, and ongoing cost/benefit analysis
- Establish and track product KPIs, including covenant breach detection lead time, exception backlog levels, rework rates, SLA compliance, and client inquiry volumes; drive operational excellence through root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Run quarterly planning cycles and set OKRs, ensuring product roadmaps align with business strategy, tracking delivery progress, and communicating outcomes and risks to executive sponsors
- Apply data-driven prioritization frameworks (ROI modeling, risk reduction, SLA impact, client NPS) and maintain transparent, well-groomed product backlogs that balance strategic initiatives with operational needs
- Champion controls-by-design, security, and operational resiliency in every product decision, ensuring that risk mitigation, data integrity, compliance requirements, and business continuity are embedded throughout the product lifecycle
YOUR PROFILE
- 8–12+ years of experience in loan servicing, operations, credit risk, or product management within private credit or commercial lending, with 3–5+ years of direct product ownership of servicing, compliance, or loan administration capabilities
- Expert understanding of credit agreements and loan mechanics, including rate structures (SOFR/Term SOFR, base rates, spreads), accrual methodologies, payment schedules, covenant frameworks, compliance testing protocols, and borrower communication requirements
- Hands-on experience with loan servicing and administration systems (e.g., ACBS, Loan IQ, Allvue, WSO, Solvas, or similar platforms), including integration with portfolio management systems (PMS), order management systems (OMS), accounting platforms, and enterprise data warehouses
- Proven track record of strategic build/buy/partner decision-making, including leading vendor evaluations, RFPs, commercial negotiations, contract management, and release governance across technology and data vendors
- Demonstrated success growing a high-performing, action focused, and independent team to support the delivery of the product goals of the Private Credit line of business at scale
- Proven track record delivering covenant automation, exception management workflows, and real-time alerting capabilities; strong grasp of policy enforcement, control frameworks, audit trail requirements, and regulatory documentation standards
