We are looking for a talented Senior Application Support Engineer with developer background and desired experience in programming languages such as C# to join our global client facing applications team. Here, you will be part of a dynamic team, containing already several engineers and IT experts with different backgrounds, within the IT department of Alter Domus.
It is an exciting moment to accept this challenge, our fast-growing company is passing through an innovation and cloud journey, which will give you the possibility to work in different scenarios and technologies. You will work with legacy on-premise applications as well as cloud container apps which will contribute to your professional growth.
In this role, you should be able to conduct troubleshoots with a sharp eye for spotting defects. You should be a team player and excellent communicator. If you are also passionate about coding and getting things done, we would like to meet you.
Responsibilities:
- You will diagnose and troubleshoot software by researching data or debugging code.
- Learn and understand the software and business processes for the respective application.
- As a team player, you should be able to interact with business support and developers to research and identify permanent solutions to common issues.
- Actively work on hotfixes and other code amendments.
- Ensure all issues are properly logged and provide prompt and clear feedback on error resolutions.
- Operate APM tools and develop alerts based on telemetry data.
- Document technical knowledge in the form of notes, wikis and manuals.
- Customer oriented attitude, our members understand that putting customers first is part of the team’s DNA.
Requirements and skills:
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
- Professional experience with at least one OOP language such as C++, C#.
- Professional experience with APM (Application Performance Monitoring) tools.
- Professional experience with query languages (T-SQL, KQL, ..).
- Professional experience with scripting (PowerShell, …).
- Professional experience with HTTP protocol.
- Professional experience with reporting (Power BI).
- Experience with Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps will be considered as an asset.
