Reporting to the co-Head of Relationship Management – Europe based in London, the Sales & Relationship Management Director – United Kingdom is accountable for driving the sales roadmap for UK-based clients across all asset classes.  You will be the Relationship Manager for an existing portfolio of private market clients across Private Equity, Real Assets and Debt products.  Specifically, you will: 

  • Be accountable for driving and delivering a sales and growth plan for existing and new accounts, underpinned by an ambitious annual sales target to help Alter Domus achieve its commercial objectives for the UK market.
  • Create and implement the relationship management plan for your portfolio of clients, actively working on new proposals for your client portfolio to increase share of wallet for these existing clients and analysing and tracking KPIs on profitability across your client portfolio, including bad debt recovery and cash collection.
  • Proactively build your internal and external business networks, driving personal and business growth through a commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
  • Engage and grow the network of business partners and business feeders in the UK and identify new business leads in the local and international markets to build a pipeline of target opportunities.
  • Provide expert advice across all Alter Domus products and services to take advantage of opportunities to increase share of wallet with your existing clients and participating in new client pitches collaborating with internal product and other teams to deliver competitive advantage.
  • Monitor and drive client satisfaction, engaging continuously with your clients to understand their expectations and engage with internal teams to ensure Alter Domus fulfils their expectations in order to deliver a superb client experience.
  • Be accountable for the scoping, costing and initial client-onboarding activities for prospects and new clients.
  • Keep watch on local and international regulatory updates that affect the industries our clients operate in.
  • Actively monitor competitor activities and deliver insight and thought leadership on market trends to anticipate future client needs.
  • As a senior leader, you will also be responsible for driving change when necessary, delivering communications and directions to the team in supporting the development and engagement of employees at all levels.  
  • Promote and build the Alter Domus brand and culture both internally and externally, acting as an ambassador and role model to our people, clients, and customers to embed the Alter Domus Values and to promote our Employer Value Proposition.
  • As a director of Alter Domus, you will maintain a relentless focus on cost and budget discipline, driving a culture of accountability. 
  • Drive a culture of compliance and risk control to mitigate financial, operational and reputational risks.
  • Ensure the company maintains the highest Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) standards.

PROFILE

  • A degree in either Management, Accountancy, Economics or Banking and Finance or other related discipline.
  • A proven track record in driving sales and revenue targets with a portfolio of Private Market clients, preferably in the alternative assets with a strong understanding of UK private markets.
  • You will possess excellent relationship management techniques – influencing, negotiation and objection handling and will have built strong and enduring relationships with clients and customers.
  • You have first class communication and presentation skills (active listening, storytelling, presentation skills, social selling).
  • You are autonomous, have strong organisational skills (time management, planning, accuracy in documenting client activities)
