Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Head of IT Infrastructure is accountable for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of our infrastructure systems, ensuring optimal workspace productivity, scalability, and reliability. This role will involve managing storage and compute resources, data centers, and fostering strong partnerships with Platform, Cybersecurity, and Application Development teams to support our business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement strategies to enhance workspace productivity through effective infrastructure solutions.
• Ensure that all employees have access to reliable and efficient tools and technologies that support their work.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing infrastructure team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Identify staffing needs and develop training programs to enhance team capabilities and support scaling efforts.
• Oversee the management of storage and compute resources, ensuring they are optimized for performance, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
• Implement best practices for resource allocation, monitoring, and maintenance to support business operations.
• Direct the operations of data centers, ensuring they meet industry standards for security, reliability, and efficiency.
• Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard critical infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with Platform and Cybersecurity teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with security protocols and platform requirements.
• Drive initiatives that enhance the security posture of the infrastructure while supporting application development needs.
• Work in partnership with Application Development teams to understand their infrastructure needs and provide solutions that enable rapid development and deployment.
• Facilitate communication between teams to ensure alignment on infrastructure capabilities and application requirements.
• As a senior leader, you will also be responsible for driving change when necessary, delivering communications and directions to the team in supporting the development and engagement of employees at all levels. 
• Promote and build Alter Domus' brand and culture both internally and externally, acting as an ambassador and role model to employees, clients, and customers and other external stakeholders.
• Support the development and engagement of employees at all levels, actively promoting the Employer Value Proposition within all regional teams and role modelling the Alter Domus values to our people, clients and customers.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, encouraging employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Drive a culture of compliance and risk control to mitigate financial, operational and reputational risks.
• Promote ethical business practices, enhancing the company's reputation and social impact and ensuring Alter Domus maintains the highest Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) standards.

PROFILE

• 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus in financial services or a related industry.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale storage and compute environments.
• Strong understanding of data center operations, including power, cooling, and physical security.
• Experience leading global cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies in infrastructure management.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-growing and dynamic environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
