JOB DESCRIPTION:
Your role will be focussed on compliance and AML related tasks in respect of the client licensees of Alter Domus (Guernsey) Limited (“ADG”) in what is a rapidly developing business. The post holder will report to the Head of Client Compliance in Guernsey. In due course, the post holder will be named Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Money Laundering Compliance Officer for certain client licensees with the support of the Head of Client Compliance as the role matures.
Ideally this role will be suitable for an individual with strong AML CFT skills and an Investment Funds background, that is equally familiar with the GFSC’s Handbook. A Compliance qualification would be useful as would experience of managing a team. The role will progress into holding MLRO and MLCO roles as the number of entities grows.
• Undertaking compliance monitoring in accordance with the compliance monitoring plan to ensure that client licensees remains compliant with all applicable regulatory and AML/CFT requirements.
• Ensuring that client due diligence is collected to the appropriate standard in order to comply with the GFSC’s AML/CFT Handbook.
• Assist in preparing relevant reporting to the Boards of client licensees.
• Assist in the monitoring the GFSC website for the release of revised standards and guidance and ensuring those updates are brought to the attention of the Board of licensees and other relevant employees.
• Responsible for the updating and maintaining of relevant registers of the licensees.
• Undertaking oversight assessment reviews for outsourced work.
• Assisting in maintaining internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local standards and regulatory requirements as the business develops.
• Assist in preparing and submitting all of the relevant regulatory reporting for the client licensees over the submissions portal.
• Assisting using WorldCheck and FinScan in conducting searches on clients and other associated parties.
• Providing support and training alongside the Senior Manager to the staff of ADG as required in respect of compliance and AML matters.
• Assist the ADG Compliance Officer in the completion of compliance activities undertaken for ADG as required.
• Undertake and deliver training with the business in respect of AML and Regulatory matters.
YOUR PROFILE:
• Have a passion for your role and for building successful client and Board relationships through teamwork and high standards of service.
• Have 5 to 10 years’ experience, ideally with 1 to 2 years at Compliance Manager level.
• Hold a relevant professional qualification or be working towards one.
• Effective organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, work to deadlines and be able to take initiative to act without waiting for direction where appropriate.
