We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst to join our CapAssure Product Delivery team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the CapAssure® platform, overseeing quality assurance processes related to new developments, client-requested system and configuration changes, and ongoing configuration maintenance. Your expertise will be vital in delivering exceptional Capital Administration services to our clients.

As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will conduct comprehensive end-to-end functional testing of our SaaS application, ensuring that all components work seamlessly together to provide a superior user experience. You will perform in-depth data analysis, maintain data assets, and gather, organize, and interpret information from the database to support testing.  Your responsibilities will also include constructing robust test strategies and drafting comprehensive test plans that outline testing scope and timelines. You will execute functional testing, report testing, regression testing to validate application functionality and ensure quality. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to communicate testing results, identify issues, and verify solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with a strong understanding of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis. You should demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex data sets. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results are essential. Full systems development life cycle experience, including all phases of testing for enterprise-class systems, is preferred. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment are also crucial.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform high level and detailed data analysis of financial data from private equity clients from a variety of sources, including General Ledger systems, Excel spreadsheets, and proprietary or legacy systems and aligning to the CapAssure data formats and database structures.
  • Define relevant test strategies to cover all test scenarios and draft plans appropriately. Ability to perform Functional testing on new features, changes in functionalities, or new reports. Ability to then record and document results from test cases and compare to expected results.
  • Identify bugs, errors, and inconsistencies during testing, document detailed defect reports with clear descriptions and steps to reproduce and track their resolution.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, from requirements analysis to formal system delivery and proven experience that demonstrates competence facilitating and supporting the full Systems Development Lifecycle process. Review functional and non-functional requirements to ensure testing covers all necessary aspects of a product.
  • Perform regression testing to verify that fixes or changes to the system do not introduce new issues.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to assess adherence to established standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate test results and findings to developers, providing clear feedback to facilitate bug fixes and enhancements. Maintain detailed test documentation, including test scripts, test results, and reports to track progress and identify trends
  •  Understand data models and write detailed SQL scripts to extract information

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

A successful candidate will have 3 to 5 years of proven success in a related role, demonstrating a progression in responsibilities and possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, Information Technology, or a closely related degree. The candidate should possess:

  • Proficiency with QA testing methodologies (white-box, regression, database, web-application, API).  performance testing is a plus.
  • Expertise to develop test plans, create test cases, and execute manual or automated tests to thoroughly assess product functionality (performance expertise is a plus).
  • Expertise using Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Must be facile with MS Excel and worksheet/analytic tools (VBA, Power Query etc.).
  • Must have experience with Software as a Service delivery model (SaaS model).
  • 3+ years of experience in DBMS and expertise in Relational database systems required.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL scripting and data normalization in RDBMS platforms. Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, SSMS, SSIS and T-SQL.
  • Experience with handling large data sets using reports, construct queries, uploads using data imports and integration tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking in a heterogenous data environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills to support effective communication with a wide variety of constituents including:
    • business end-users of the system (non-technical)
    • development personnel (technical)
    • Project management and senior management personnel responsibility for oversight of initiatives
  • Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
  • Experience with Issue Tracking software and workflows.
  • Knowledge of web technologies, HTML, CSS, JavaScript a plus.
  • Knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI, or other visualization tool experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to interact with business users always maintaining the integrity of the Alter Domus brand.

Other functional qualifications:

  • Experience in Fund Administration and knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of data processing concepts / principals and validation techniques to ensure data integrity and data quality.
  • Experience with data integration, data warehousing and visualization tools.
  • Knowledge on APIs and how an integration can be leveraged to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Awareness of current technology capabilities, trends, and innovation opportunities.
