Jack Sullivan, Portfolio Administration Analyst at Alter Domus North America:
“The culture at Alter Domus is very welcoming and inclusive. From day one, I felt that everyone was eager to help and ensure that I felt comfortable. The AD culture has made it easy for me to integrate and feel like a valuable part of the team.”
Sarah Mifsud, Corporate Services Manager at Alter Domus Malta:
“At Alter Domus, new joiners can expect a warm welcome. Everyone is willing to provide guidance and training begins on the first day you join. At Alter Domus you will feel appreciated, valued and listened to!”

“A new joiner at AD can expect a structured onboarding combined with hands-on learning from day one. They’ll be supported by a collaborative team that encourages questions, knowledge sharing, and steady development of both technical and professional skills. At the same time, they’ll be trusted with real responsibility early on, gaining exposure to international clients and interesting work.”
Yashwanth Kolli, Software Developer at Alter Domus India:

From day one, you will feel welcomed into an environment that encourages you to excel in your professional journey. Choosing from among all the advantages and benefits of working at Alter Domus is no easy task. However, one overarching trend captures the full appeal of our business and industry: we are experiencing robust growth at the heart of the Private Markets sector, which is itself expanding rapidly.
This advantageous dynamic opens unparalleled ambitions and horizons for us. What is the toughest aspect of work at Alter Domus?
While it's above all a source of excitement, collaboration, and personal growth, the challenge Alter Domus sets for itself every morning is to keep our clients satisfied. This means regularly adapting our working methods by embracing increasingly innovative technologies and ever more efficient processes. In short, you need to be comfortable in a constantly evolving work environment. Always aligned with our clients' satisfaction and pace, certain key moments in the life of the funds they manage and certain times of the year around book closings are particularly intense. It's therefore essential to anticipate these periods and smartly adapt your rhythm between peak times and quieter periods that are more conducive to recharging your batteries.
What are the Alter Domus values?
We embrace evolution. Since 2003, we have always been open to change, growing with our clients, and most importantly with our people. In 2023, we were proud to refresh our values, involving all employees and showing the essence of who we are. Here are the four Alter Domus values:
- Succeed at Speed: We deliver at pace with agility, always connected to clients, regulators, and markets, globally.
- Take Charge Together: We take the initiative, always bringing the right people, insights, and expertise together and sharing accountability.
- Adapt with Authority: We flex to meet different needs in different contexts, always showing responsible leadership and growing trust.
- Reimagine with Results: We pursue new, more intelligent ways of working, always with a focus on efficient, high-quality service.
The way we work, and how we work together, has always been what makes Alter Domus different, and what sets us apart from the crowd. Our values embody our spirit of innovation, our legacy, and our bright future. More than anything, they embody the values that every individual brings to Alter Domus.
Does Alter Domus offer an inclusive workplace?
Alter Domus is committed to providing an inclusive workplace for everyone. That means taking action to ensure every colleague has equal representation at every level of AD. Because we are an incredibly diverse and close-knit global family. Whether that means valuing every voice through our employee engagement survey, enabling individual discussions with HR experts, offering our Employee Assistance Program, or delivering initiatives that celebrate diversity all year long.
Here, success is found together. By looking out for our mental and physical health. And by inspiring awareness, always. We celebrate our differences and understand that we are stronger together by celebrating and recognizing the diverse perspectives and experiences of everyone at Alter Domus.
We strive to create an environment where each and every employee feel they belong, and empower all of our people to be their true selves in the workplace, working towards shared goals and a common purpose. To do so, our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) framework is built on an intersectional approach, meaning all areas of DE&I are connected across our commitments and actions. The six pillars of our framework are: Gender, Ethnicity, LGBTQ+, Disability, Cognitive & Neurodiversity and Socio-Economic.
Today, our most dynamic Business Resource Groups, usually abbreviated “BRGs” are the Women’s BRG dedicated to gender equality and empowering women's leadership careers, Q+ our BRG for members and allies of the Queer community, iRise which is dedicated to early-career professionals in North America, and most recently our BRG dedicated to the Black community. Each BRG is formed and managed at the initiative of employees themselves, to get together, help each other, inform and engage the wider Alter Domus community. The list of BRGs is therefore neither exhaustive nor final, and Alter Domus provides a framework, a voice and our organizational support to any group of employees who would like to build new BRGs.

Swapna Patil, Accountant at Alter Domus Germany:
"Finance is the backbone of any business. I chose accounting because I enjoy understanding financial systems and how they impact growth. This role lets me deepen my knowledge of financial institutions in Germany and abroad, while making a meaningful contribution to the success and growth of Alter Domus."

"I work with private credit clients with a focus on operations and client servicing. I help maintain internal systems, monitor deal terms, and assist with reporting to ensure everything stays aligned with client expectations.
I also coordinate closely with internal teams and directly support clients by answering questions, resolving issues, and keeping communication clear and consistent. Since private credit involves a lot of moving parts, attention to detail and staying organized are key. It’s a fast-paced and rewarding environment where I’m gaining great insight into how private credit portfolios are managed in practice."
Career Path - Personal Development
Who is taking care of my career and personal development at Alter Domus?
The primary person responsible for your career development is you! At Alter Domus, we strongly believe in initiative and accountability. We therefore expect our employees to take ownership of their development and to actively pursue their ambitions. That said, you won't be alone in this journey!
We foster a culture of transparency and open, direct communication between team leaders and team members. This is facilitated by the timeframe and philosophy that shape our annual performance cycle, which provides opportunities for constructive conversations at least three times per year when setting objectives, and when reviewing performance mid-year and at the end of the year. However, when it comes to wellbeing and career advancement, there's no need to wait for a conversation scheduled in four months: we encourage momentum and spontaneity.
Finally, in addition to engaged management and comprehensive training support, our People Business Partners work closely with teams, acting as your internal career coaches to guide you along your professional path.

What does career progression look like at Alter Domus? How can I advance my career within Alter Domus?
We have many examples of colleagues who have been with us for years, including a significant number of teammates we call "Boomerangs" as they returned to Alter Domus after gaining valuable perspectives with other employers.
Alter Domus's growth and innovation continuously create new opportunities for our employees. First, there are those who are promoted based on their performance and growing experience, taking on greater responsibilities either through managing increasingly larger teams or by expanding their impact as Subject Matter Experts and key contributors.
Then there are lateral moves that allow employees to transition from client-facing roles to positions within our Corporate Functions, and vice versa. Some transition from more technical roles to operational positions, or the reverse. Finally, many employees also have the opportunity to serve clients across different asset classes: they can start a career in Private Equity before discovering Private Credit, and eventually work with Real Assets clients in the future.
In short, at Alter Domus, we believe in removing barriers and building bridges, and we are proud to create as many career pathways as there are unique journeys among our colleagues.
Do you have internal mobility opportunities at Alter Domus? Do you have international assignments at Alter Domus? Is it possible to work abroad?
At Alter Domus, we want to build an environment full of opportunities where our talented professionals proactively drive their careers. We have always favored promoting from within and trusting the talent of our people when finding the right people for open opportunities.
Internal mobility is an important part of how we help you grow and develop your career. All of our open positions are advertised internally (unless on an exception basis), and we regularly promote priority roles internally on our weekly newsletter and intranet.
We even have a dedicated Internal Mobility Platform named MyCareerMove!
While the majority of our 500 internal moves each year take place within the same country, we also facilitate a broad spectrum of international assignments and secondment missions. After 1 year of experience at Alter Domus, you can apply for roles within your country. After 2 years of experience, you can apply to any role globally.
Beyond cross-border mobility, your everyday work at Alter Domus will be inherently multicultural and international. Our global operating model means you'll regularly interact with (and sometimes travel to meet) colleagues from around the world.
Hear from some of our people who have benefited from mobility opportunities:
Nicolas Derhet, Senior Manager at Alter Domus Luxembourg:
“After more than 10 years in Private Equity, I asked myself what could come next to step out of my comfort zone. After discussing it with my managers, Alter Domus enabled me to become a Customer Success Manager in Real Estate. A tough challenge and great opportunity!”
Ruben Franco, Senior Officer at Alter Domus United Kingdom:
“Alter Domus was fully supportive of my internal move. I was guided through every step and I would highly recommend availing of internal mobility opportunities to any colleague looking to grow both professionally and in their personal lives.“
