We are seeking a highly experienced, dynamic and strategic senior operational leader, who will report to the Global Head of Payments. This role will oversee our cash processing and wire transfer operations for the North American region. This role is critical in ensuring that our payments activity meets the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness, thereby enhancing our client service experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong operational background, exceptional leadership skills, deep understanding of risk and control and a passion for process improvement and technology adoption.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage all aspects of payment operations, ensuring risk and control, efficiency, client service and a sustainable and scalable operating model.
- Work with the Head of Central Operations and Global Head of Payments to define and execute a clear vision and strategy for cash processing and wire transfer operations, aligning with Alter Domus’s overall business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance cash processing and wire transfer processes, implementing best practices to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Champion the adoption of innovative technologies and tools that enhance operational capabilities, improve client service, and drive efficiency.
- Work with AD’s Transformation and Technology teams to design and prioritize technology and automation solutions to enhance the payments lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs) to monitor operational performance, ensuring that targets are met and exceeded.
- Ensure that all cash processing and wire transfer activities are executed with the highest level of quality, error-free, and delivered on time to meet client expectations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including compliance, risk management, and client services, to ensure alignment and support for operational initiatives.
- Ensure that all operations comply with relevant regulations and internal policies, maintaining the integrity and security of client funds.
- Drive a culture of compliance and risk control through identification and anticipation of potential risks, together with timely escalation and/or resolution.
- As a senior leader, you will also be responsible for driving change when necessary, delivering communications and directions to the team in supporting the development and engagement of employees at all levels.
- Promote and build Alter Domus' brand and culture both internally and externally, acting as an ambassador and role model to employees, clients, and customers and other external stakeholders.
- Support the development and engagement of employees at all levels, actively promoting the Employer Value Proposition within all regional teams and role modelling the Alter Domus values to our people, clients and customers.
PROFILE
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Financial Services/Banking/Fund Services industry working in operational leadership and management roles.
- Proven track record of managing cash processing and wire transfer operations with a focus on client service excellence.
- Experience in creating and leading world-class operational delivery teams with a proven track record of working across multiple jurisdictions within a matrixed environment.
- A proven track-record in unlocking value and efficiency in the core processes, tools and technology that underpin an operations function.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and process improvements.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Experience with technology implementation and process automation in an operational setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- You will have experience with projects and change initiatives, adept at balancing competing demands and an ability to prioritise effectively.
