ABOUT US:
As a world leading provider of integrated solutions for the alternative investment industry, Alter Domus (meaning “The Other House” in Latin) is proud to be home to 90% of the top 30 asset managers in the private markets, and more than 6,000 professionals across 24 jurisdictions.
With a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in alternatives, we believe in being different - in what we do, in how we work and most importantly in how we enable and develop our people. Invest yourself in the alternative, and join an organization where you progress on merit, where you can speak openly with whoever you are speaking to, and where you will be supported along whichever path you choose to take.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The aim of Alter Domus’ Graduate Programme is to create a graduate experience that develops individuals’ professional and technical skills, fosters engagement and understanding with the wider business and provides an opportunity for accelerated career growth with Alter Domus.
Our Graduate Programme commences in September each year - unless you would like to start earlier. A key part of our Graduate Programme is the facilitation of 12 month rotations across the key areas of our business, namely Private Debt, Private Equity, Real Estate and Fund of Funds.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Taking care of the day-to-day operations of the funds and following up with third parties, including investors and fund managers.
- Undergoing an interactive onboarding & training program designed to quickly and effectively give new joiners the industry skills and contexts needed.
- You will take part in the setup of funds, and implementing complex international real estate structures as part of restructuring plans, mergers and acquisitions.
- Preparing the funds’ periodic Net Asset Value calculation and year-end financial statements, management of the audit, and reviewing other fund related reports.
- Reviewing tax returns and tax balances and maintaining relevant contacts with the tax authorities.
- Taking an active part in the initial setup of any new funds take-on and liaising with independent tax specialists, lawyers, and notaries as part of the set up process.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
- Expertise per sub-asset class: All teams specialise in a given asset class (Private Equity, Real Estate, Debt, Fund Of Funds)
- End-to-end processing by an integrated team of generalists with full knowledge and control over the full process rather than functionalization of the teams.
- Expert Pools support the delivery teams on specific topics: Consolidation, Liquidations, Tax Compliance, Transfer Pricing, Investor Customer Due Diligence (CDD).
YOUR PROFILE:
- You should be working towards a 2.1 degree (or above) in areas such as Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics
- You are interested in accounting for investment products, particularly funds in the Real Estate, Private Equity or Private Debt industries, a relevant internship an advantage
- You are interested in pursuing further professional development through the ACCA pathway
- You enjoy communicating and collaborating within a team to help solved problems and generate results and you are reliable and organized.
WHAT WE OFFER
We are committed to supporting your development, advancing your career, and providing benefits that matter to you.
Our industry-leading Alter Domus Academy offers six learning zones for every stage of your career, with resources tailored to your ambitions and resources from LinkedIn Learning.
Grad benefits also include:
- Support for ACCA accreditation including study leave
- Flexible arrangements, generous holidays, plus an additional day off for your birthday and graduation!
