JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Interim Vendor Risk Senior Manager will lead the supplier risk oversight and will report to the Group Head of Resilience. A strategic partner at the decision table that provides forward-looking, value-add and commercially focused wise counsel, challenge and oversight enabling commercial outcomes at speed. A lean, robust and effective risk framework, easy to comprehend and communicate that underpins the strategy, applied using a pragmatic approach that harmonizes with the AD operating model, delivers shareholder value and supports customers’ and clients’ needs. This role is offered as a 12 month Fixed Term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of a commercially focused and business appropriate best practice supplier risk framework. This framework should exercise effective operational and cost control, apply a consistent management approach, include regulatory requirements and consider correlation risk / interconnectedness.
  • Oversight and management of security controls relating to 3rd party suppliers (including internal technology suppliers) to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
  • Conduct regular due diligence assurance of material 3rd party suppliers, leading formal and informal risk assessments.
  • Identify, assess and report on threats, vulnerabilities and opportunities impacting the AD operational resilience.
  • Manage comprehensive Third-Party Risk Management platform used to assess and monitor the organization’s material suppliers.
  • Review supplier agreements to ensure compliance with risk framework. 
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal staff to develop incident response plans and coordinate actions in the event of a supplier breach or material service disruption.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 6-10 years related experience supplier risk management, preferably in financial services.
  • Knowledge of risk management taxonomy, processes, analyses, and tools.
  • Experience with supplier risk management in a regulated environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Provide insight and lead provocation reporting.
  • Strong understanding of IT processes and controls and Change Management. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently.
