Key Responsibilities:
• Expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks using JavaScript / Playwright or Python / Pytest Selenium frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases. Should be good at Test strategy for identifying and designing robust Regression tests
• Execute automated and manual tests to identify software defects and ensure high product quality.
• Perform API and database testing and validation to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Analyze test results from both manual and automated test runs, fix broken scripts, document defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in best practices for automation and testing methodologies.
• Create POCs using AI and latest technologies to enhance testing processes / tools.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall quality of the codebase.
• Provide reports on defects , test executions, summary and traceability to your manager.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with hands on automation expertise.
• Strong proficiency in coding languages like JavaScript/ Python/Java and experience with automation frameworks/Tools like Playwright, Pytest, Selenium, TestNG,Postman.
• Solid understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL for database testing.
• Experience with both UI and API testing and automation.
• Hands on experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps /Jenkins.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience and understanding of performance testing and tools.
- Experience and understanding of Security testing and tools.
- Experience creating test harnesses, utilities and working with docker / AWS is a plus.
- Experience working with Grafana , Splunk, Kibana etc for logs and monitoring.
