We are currently presenting an exciting opportunity for a Transfer Pricing Senior Officer to join our growing Transfer Pricing practice which operates within the wider Alter Domus business.
The Transfer Pricing team works on client engagements across key European jurisdictions with clients located across multiple European countries and a team resourced with members located in Luxembourg, UK, Spain, Italy, Malta and India.
The role is based in Madrid, Spain and will report to managers of the Transfer Pricing team and assist in the delivery and management of the Transfer Pricing team’s projects.
In addition to strong technical capabilities, the candidate must demonstrate proven project execution skills across multi-jurisdictional teams.
YOUR FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactive and independent project management for the successful delivery of projects, ensuring technical excellence and practical/business driven approach taken;
- Mentor junior staff on client delivery and technical expertise, contributing to their career development;
- Lead coordination with clients on day-to-day tasks;
- Provide constant project status updates to senior management;
- Identify critical points during the execution of the project and bring them up for discussion with senior management;
- Contribute to process and technical improvements for the overall team;
- Build relationships both within the company and externally with clients;
- Identify commercial opportunities with existing clients;
- Interpret new and existing transfer pricing tax rules.
YOUR PROFILE:
- You have 3 to 5 years of relevant of transfer pricing experience gained in a tax advisory or transfer pricing consulting firm (preferably in Luxembourg);
- Knowledge and experience in transfer pricing for the financial services industry (preferably alternative investment) is required.
- You have previous experience in areas such as: interest rate benchmarking analyses, credit rating analyses and preparation of transfer pricing documentation;
- You have strong technical skills and desire to for professional development;
- You take ownership of projects;
- You hold a bachelor or a master degree in Economics/Business Economics/Finance/Financial Analysis or any other relevant discipline;
- Experience in developing or coaching junior members of staff;
- Proven capability in driving project delivery with experience in project management, planning and prioritizing work and meeting deadlines;
- You are client focused and commercially aware.
