JOB DESCRIPTION:
As part of the continued expansion of our real estate business, an opportunity has arisen for a Real Estate Platform Delivery Senior Manager – EMEA. The successful candidate will join an existing team of experienced professionals to help drive the continued evolution of our real estate technology solutions.
The Real Estate Platform Delivery Senior Manager – EMEA is a senior management position and a key role in the ongoing support and development of our Real Estate platform at Alter Domus. This position leads part of a geographically distributed team that is responsible for user support and training, small change, platform adoption, and implementation projects. The RE PD Senior Manager also works with both clients and operations teams to understand their specific needs and identify technology-driven solutions or opportunities.
At Alter Domus we use a vertically integrated implementation of Yardi for all entities in the investment structure from property up to investor, with consolidation and capital activity all processed in a unified data set. Members of the platform delivery team work on a general knowledge basis across all areas of functionality, with subject matter experts in specific areas of complex expertise.
Primary Responsibilities:
As a delivery-focussed role, the RE PD Senior Manager will both work on the delivery of complex or strategic solutions and oversee junior management in the delivery of lower-level deliverables and general support. In particular, the successful candidate will be expected to deliver new module implementations (recent examples being Fixed Assets and Debt Manager), client-specific adaptations (either internally developed or in conjunction with the vendor), integrations with other AD systems relevant to the Real Estate asset class, or multi-client rollouts of new functionality.
More generally, the responsibilities of the role are to:
- Work under the direction of the Regional Platform Leader as part of the EMEA platform management team
- Mentor and demonstrate leadership to Business Analysts and Support Officers
- Provide subject matter expertise (industry specific, technical, and financial)
- Participate in industry and learning opportunities as well as represent Alter Domus to outside parties
- Organize and lead team meetings, including group training
- Help determine staffing requirements, interview, hire, and train new employees
- Advise on performance review ratings
- Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, support KPIs, implementation status, and risks
- Analyse information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
- Lead on multiple projects, navigate through unexpected challenges and bring about viable solutions that provide the best results.
Your Profile:
The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of both real estate and Yardi Voyager, in particular the Investment Accounting module but Debt Manager and payments functionality are also desirable. They will have practical experience of directly supporting investment accounting on Yardi and delivering solutions for new operations use cases through the platform.
Specific experience regarding any of investor allocations, roll ups, payables, transaction types, cascade rules, task runners, multicurrency processing, intercompany activity, data migration and/or fixed assets would also be an advantage.
Other key attributes are:
- Experience of managing multiple simultaneous projects
- Experience of supervising and reviewing the work of more junior colleagues
- Proficiency in motivating and directing business stakeholders to implement and execute project deliverables according to objectives
- Diplomatic yet results-driven communication style
- Ability to provide proactive, well-organized, and clear reports to management to track project progress
- Proficiency in, and understanding of, accounting concepts
- Ability to clearly communicate analysis and information to teams and business units (through English as the common language).
