Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Senior Manager, as Senior Manager – Consolidation and Group Reporting you will have end-to-end ownership of Alter Domus' group consolidation and external financial and investor reporting processes, leading a high-performing team of accounting professionals. This role sits at the heart of the Global Accounting Team and carries significant responsibility for the integrity of group-level financial information. You will be a key point of contact for investors, lenders, external auditors and other internal and external stakeholders on all matters related to group financial reporting, and will play a leading role in shaping how the finance organization at Alter Domus operates — driving process simplification, automation, and the responsible adoption of AI to support Alter Domus' ambitious growth objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes from a consolidation perspective, including intercompany eliminations, multi-currency translations, and the accurate roll-up of entity results into group-level financials in accordance with IFRS.
- Lead the timely preparation and review of reporting to senior management, as well as external stakeholders such as investors and lenders.
- Lead the timely preparation of Alter Domus' annual group financial statements, including all required notes and disclosures, ensuring they represent a true and fair view and comply fully with applicable IFRS standards.
- Lead the prioritization, development, and implementation of process improvement and automation initiatives within the consolidation and group reporting function, including the identification and responsible deployment of AI tools to enhance reporting efficiency, data quality, and analytical insight.
- Serve as the accounting point of contact for senior management, investors, lenders, and other external parties on questions relating to group financial reporting, providing clear and technically sound responses and building trusted relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Lead the disclosure evaluation of complex and non-routine transactions, including business combinations, acquisitions and disposals, restructurings, financing arrangements, and share-based compensation, ensuring appropriate disclosures in the group financial statements.
- Monitor and assess the impact of new and emerging IFRS standards on Alter Domus' group reporting, providing timely analysis and recommendations to senior leadership and driving implementation where required.
- Lead and develop a team of accounting and reporting professionals, fostering a high-performance culture, building technical capability across the team, and providing meaningful mentoring and career development opportunities.
- Coordinate across local controllers and other stakeholders that impact the consolidated financial statements — establishing clear timelines, ownership, and deliverables, and actively monitoring and driving timely delivery of inputs to ensure the group financial statements are completed to the required standard and on schedule.
- Manage the external audit of the consolidated financial statements — engaging proactively with auditors on key accounting judgements and complex areas, ensuring all audit queries and matters are addressed accurately and in a timely manner, and driving the process to a successful conclusion within the agreed timetable.
- Drive continuous improvement of the group reporting control environment, ensuring robust controls are in place over the consolidation process.
- Anticipate, identify, and communicate risks in the group consolidation and reporting processes to senior leadership, developing and executing solutions to effectively mitigate such risks.
- Promote and build Alter Domus' brand and culture both internally and externally, acting as an ambassador and role model to employees, clients, and customers and other external stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, encouraging employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Drive a culture of compliance and risk control to mitigate financial, operational and reputational risks.
- Promote ethical business practices, enhancing the company's reputation and social impact and ensuring Alter Domus maintains the highest Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) standards.
PROFILE
- Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in group consolidation, financial reporting, and technical accounting, gained within the Big 4 and/or multinational organisations.
- Deep technical expertise in IFRS, with demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements and navigating complex accounting matters. An accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Proven experience in the preparation of investor and lender reporting, including ability to address questions from external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the accounting analysis of complex transactions, including business combinations, refinancings, and other non-routine events, with the ability to translate technical conclusions into clear and actionable disclosures.

- Demonstrated experience in identifying and implementing process improvements and automation initiatives, including practical exposure to AI tools in a finance or accounting context.
- Proven experience managing external audit processes, including proactive engagement with auditors on complex and judgemental accounting areas, and a track record of ensuring audit matters are resolved accurately and on time.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating across a broad range of stakeholders to drive the timely delivery of financial statements, with the ability to establish clear ownership, manage competing priorities, and hold stakeholders accountable to deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage credibly and effectively with investors, lenders, senior leadership, and technical teams.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-growing and dynamic environment, especially in industries that are undergoing rapid digit transformation.
