JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Senior Manager in our Jersey funds team Jersey, you will play a central leadership role in managing and developing operational teams that service a diverse portfolio of private equity and debt fund clients. This is a commercially focused, client-facing role where operational excellence, technical expertise, and strong people leadership converge.
You will report to the Director responsible for the Jersey Funds business and will be accountable for the day-to-day performance of your teams, driving high-quality service delivery, financial performance, and continuous improvement across a complex and growing client portfolio. You will act as a key escalation point for client and operational matters, bringing both technical depth in Jersey fund structures and the interpersonal skills to build trusted, long-term relationships.
This role is also forward-looking: you will contribute to the evolution of our service model by championing automation, engaging in technology roadmap discussions, and leading or participating in internal projects that strengthen how we operate. You will play an active part in business development and in building a high-performance, collaborative team culture where your people are developed, supported, and empowered to succeed.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage operational teams servicing a portfolio of clients whilst ensuring excellent service delivery, profitability, and strong client relationships.
- Oversee and support operational teams, ensuring effective workload allocation, team development and high performance against KPIs and commercial targets.
- Drive operational excellence by improving processes, managing financial performance (including revenue, utilisation, and debtor control), and ensuring efficient execution of servicing activities.
- Provide technical leadership and risk oversight, supporting complex client structures and transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and embedding strong risk management practices.
- Contribute to leadership by supporting new business development, managing stakeholder relationships, mentoring staff, identifying training needs and promoting a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Promote automation, process efficiency and participate to Tech roadmap.
- Be actively involved in internal projects including organisational and technical improvements.
YOUR PROFILE:
- A professional/relevant qualification (ACCA, ICSA or equivalent).
- At least 7+ years' experience in a fund administration environment.
- Extensive technical knowledge with a comprehensive understanding of applicable Jersey regulations and other applicable regulators.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required to develop and maintain close working relationships with colleagues and third parties.
- Strong people management capabilities.
- Able to influence and deal comfortably with staff at all levels.
