Your role
As a Finance Operations Manager at Alter Domus, you will lead and inspire a team of Finance Operations Officers and Senior Officers, driving excellence in service delivery, team development, and operational efficiency. You will be a trusted partner to our clients, a strategic voice within the Finance Operations department, and a champion for innovation and continuous improvement. This is a leadership role for a seasoned finance professional who is passionate about alternative investments, people management, and building high-performing teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment..
Your responsibilities
- Microsoft Suite experience, including proficiency in Excel
- Highly organized and proactive, with follow-through on commitments
- Personal and professional integrity
- Strong work ethic, responsiveness, and passion for customer service and quality
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with team members and management remotely
- Ability to follow instructions and receive feedback and review comments on work prepared
- Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Audit, Economics, or a related field
- 3–4 years of Finance Operations experience (or similar)
- Fund Accounting/Alternative Investment experience is a plus but not required
Your profile
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience managing and developing teams
- Microsoft Suite experience, including advanced proficiency in Excel
- Highly organized and proactive, with strong follow-through on commitments
- Personal and professional integrity
- Strong work ethic, responsiveness, and passion for customer service and quality
- Excellent communicator with strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively with team members and senior leadership in a remote or hybrid environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Audit, Economics, or a related field
- 5–7 years of Finance Operations experience (or similar), with at least 2 years in a people management or team lead role
- Fund Accounting/Alternative Investment experience is strongly preferred
